Child safety standards
Naluno · Effective 21 October 2026 · getnaluno.com
These are Naluno’s standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to everything in the Naluno app, on getnaluno.com and in the Naluno Android app on Google Play: Broadcasts, Signals, lives, profiles, Wireline messages, Band, calls and Compass.
1. Zero tolerance
Naluno does not allow any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers children. This includes:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, real or generated, including drawings and edited images;
- grooming: building trust with a child in order to abuse them, asking a child for images, or arranging to meet a child for sexual purposes;
- sexual comments about a child, or sexualised images of children, even when no nudity is shown;
- sextortion: threatening to share images of a child, or of anyone who was a child when they were taken;
- trafficking, or advertising a child for any sexual purpose;
- sharing links to, or asking where to find, any of the above.
Naluno is not for children under 13 (Terms of Service, section 2).
2. How Naluno looks for it
- Every photo and video published to Broadcast or Signal is checked for nudity before it reaches anyone else; anything that looks unclear is held for a person to look at.
- Reports in the category Child exploitation go to an urgent queue. A reported Broadcast is taken out of public view while a person decides.
- People at Naluno review reports, and can remove content and close accounts at once.
- Wireline messages are end-to-end encrypted, so Naluno cannot scan their words or pictures. A person who receives something can report the sender from the chat (⋮ → Report), and stop them reaching them (⋮ → Drop, then tick “Also stop them reaching me”).
3. What Naluno does when it finds it
- removes the content and closes the account, and stops the same person opening a new one where it can;
- keeps the evidence that the law requires, under a legal hold, so it is not deleted by Naluno’s normal time limits;
- reports it to the authorities: the police and other national authorities, or international child-protection hotlines, where the law requires or allows;
- answers lawful requests from the police and courts about it.
4. How to report a concern
- In the app: on a Broadcast or Signal, tap Report. On a person, in a chat, Band or call, use ⋮ (or press and hold their name) → Report. Choose Child exploitation.
- By email or on the website: write to naluno@getnaluno.com, or use the contact form, and say that it is about child safety. A person reads every message.
- If a child is in danger now, contact the local police first. You can also call your country’s free child helpline; Child Helpline International lists them at childhelplineinternational.org.
Do not download, keep or forward abusive material, even to report it. Report where you saw it, and Naluno will take it from there.
5. Following the law
Naluno follows the child-protection laws of the countries where it is used, and the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy. The person at Naluno responsible for these standards, and for answering questions about how Naluno prevents child sexual abuse, is EJ Magambo: naluno@getnaluno.com.
